Opening a studio that blends fitness, dance and overall conditioning has been a long term goal for Chris. Her fitness resume begins with the aerobic explosion and has continued to expand. Early certification in Rep Reebok, Reebok Step, and Stability Ball gave her a solid group X foundation. For the past 12 years Chris has trained and been educated in the Stott Pilates Methods and is a seasoned Mat and Reformer instructor. TRX group training, PiYo, and barre classes are favored classes. She is certified in Barre Above and TRX and has many years of experience with dance based classes. Her attention to proper form and breaking down movement patterns is a foundation of her classes.
Chris Brush instructs the following:
A basic knowledge of Pilates is helpful, but not necessary.
The instructor will tailor the class to the level of the clientele...offering a variety of modifications or challenges to allow you to personalize your class experience. Props will be incorporated also...toning balls, gliders, Pilates Circles, toning bands, light weights, stabiltiy balls, and more.
TRX Body Blast
TRX for those wanting a full body challenge. Body weight resistance exercise that will incorporate push ups, planks, burpees, strength and stability work. We'll even add some cardio just for fun! This class is recommended for those with some experience with TRX and ready for additional challenges. Additional props will be incorporated if the instructor feels comfortable with the level of class ability.
Not recommended for beginners.
Pilates Mat ( intermediate and above)
Participants in this class will have had some previous Pilates experience. Knowledge of core engagement principals, proper breathing, imprint/neutral, and ability to modify as needed will be essential to enjoying the full benefits of this class. Props will be included at times.
Get ready to work top to bottom, side to side, front and back, inside and out... this class will WORK IT! Instructor will bring you new challenges each week with a blend of strength moves, cardio conditioning, and core work. Be ready for anything!
Beach Body PiYo
A fusion of pilates mat and basic yoga flow. This is set to upbeat 32 count music. This workout is slightly aerobic because of the quicker pace. Focus will be on elongating muscles, strengthening core and moving to the beat of the music. No experience is necessary. Just a desire to MOVE.
Class will conclude with a stretching cool down.
